Electric cables contain copper, which is traded daily on the exchange. Since copper prices fluctuate daily and the compilation of daily product price lists is very time-consuming, a so-called base price (or copper base price) is usually offered for cables and also quoted in the sales documents. In addition, the so-called copper billing is done with the help of the so-called copper weight (also called copper number or copper content).
